Junior Academy
We love to see kids getting involved in the game at Mark Watkins Golf. Our Junior Academy is a programme for Juniors aged 6-12 with a desire to learn golf.
It’s a Passport to Golf scheme endorsed by England Golf and the Professional Golfer Association. We take all of our young students through a structured programme that will teach them every aspect of the game – from technique and fitness to rules and etiquette.
The Programme has 3 Key levels: START, LEARN and PLAY. The START level is all about fun and an elementary introduction to Golf. The LEARN level is a move towards technical instruction through games based learning, always with the emphasis on fun. The PLAY level teaches the child to apply their learning to the golf course, preparing for potential club membership and competition.
The programme runs in six-week blocks of 45-minute sessions at a cost of £30 for each 6-week block. Children can join during a block at a Pro-rata cost of £5 for each session left in the block. We also do a roll-up taster session for kids slightly younger who might not be sure if they’re ready.
New 6 week block starting Saturday 10th February from 9am and Wednesday 14th February from 4.30pm.
